Air Conditioning Servicing and Cleaning

Air conditioning works hardest when it is looked after. Dirty filters, blocked drains and low refrigerant make a unit work harder, cool less and cost more to run. A regular service keeps it efficient, helps prevent breakdowns and keeps the air in your home or workplace cleaner.

We service all major makes and models, and can set up a regular maintenance plan so you do not have to remember.

Air Conditioning Repairs and Refrigerant Re-gas

If your air conditioner has stopped working, is not cooling properly or is leaking, we diagnose the fault, explain it clearly and give you a price before any repair starts. Where a unit is low on refrigerant, we find and fix the leak rather than simply topping it up.

If a repair is not worthwhile, we will tell you honestly and talk through your options.

While you waitSwitch the unit off at the remote and at the isolator, then restart it after a few minutes in case it has tripped. Check the filters are not blocked and that the batteries in the remote are working. If water is leaking, place a towel or container under it and keep it away from sockets. If you see sparks, or smell burning, switch off at the consumer unit and do not use the unit until it has been checked. Keep curtains or blinds closed, drink plenty of water and use fans to keep cool.

Regulations & standards

Air Conditioning Must Meet the Rules, and We Make Sure It Does

Air conditioning systems contain fluorinated refrigerant gases, which are controlled under the UK F-Gas Regulations. Anyone installing, servicing, leak-checking or recovering these gases must be properly certified. Our engineers hold the required certification and handle refrigerant safely, so it is not released into the environment. Confirm certification and add registration number

New installations must also meet the electrical and energy efficiency requirements of the Building Regulations, and the electrical work must be done safely and tested. We will explain what applies to your job at the quote stage.

If you live in a flat, a leasehold property, a listed building or a conservation area, you may need permission from your freeholder, managing agent or local council before an outdoor unit is fitted. Noise from outdoor units can also affect neighbours. We will advise on sensible positioning and tell you if permission may be needed.

If you run a business or a large building, systems above a certain size may need regular energy inspections. We can advise and give you a record of all servicing for your files.

FAQs

Questions, answered

Do you install air conditioning in London?

Yes, across all London boroughs. We install single-room and multi-room systems for homes, offices and small businesses.

How quickly can you respond to a breakdown?

We aim to respond as quickly as possible, depending on your location and demand, and we will always give you an estimated arrival time when you call. If you can guarantee it, add: typically within X hours

What air conditioning services do you provide?

Installation, servicing and cleaning, fault diagnosis and repair, refrigerant leak detection and re-gas, and regular maintenance plans.

How much does air conditioning cost?

We give transparent, upfront pricing. Servicing and standard repairs can often be quoted over the phone. For installations, we visit first and provide a written quote. Optional: add “from” prices

How often should I service my air conditioner?

We recommend at least once a year, ideally before summer. Units that run all year, or in dusty or commercial settings, may need servicing more often.

Why is my air conditioner not cooling?

The most common causes are blocked filters, low refrigerant, a frozen coil or a faulty fan or sensor. Switch it off, check the filters and call us if the problem continues. Do not keep running a unit that is iced up.

Why is my air conditioner leaking water?

Usually a blocked condensate drain, a dirty filter or a faulty pump. We clear the drain, find the cause and make sure it does not come back.

Do you re-gas air conditioning units?

Yes. Our F-Gas certified engineers find and repair any leak first, then recharge the system to the right level. Confirm certification

How long does an installation take?

A single split system usually takes a day or less. Multi-room or more complex installs take longer, and we confirm the time at the quote stage.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes. If anything is not right, we will put it right at no extra cost. This is in addition to your statutory consumer rights.

Which areas do you cover?

All London boroughs, including central, north, south, east and west London.
